Electrical engineering is a big part of my life but it is not the only part. Here are a few hobbies that I have to pass the time.
I was very athletic as a kid, participating in a wide range of sports from soccer, to football, to wrestling, and hockey. I even played many sports in high school such as football as well as track and field. I currently don't play many sports (largely due to not having the time) although I actively lane swim to stay fit.
I believe that the best way to learn something is to get it from the source. That being said I think that many of today's textbooks often water down theories since the author also learned it from a second hand source. Therefore, the best way to learn the material is from the one who came up with it. This could be by learning semiconductor physics from William Bradford Shockley or information theory from Claude Shannon. The textbooks written by such authors have long been gone out of print therefore I enjoy collecting them as a means of preserving the knowledge.
